Apostolic Succession.

Bishop Nicolas was ordained priest April 9, 1985 by Bishop Vigil (French Greek Orthodox Church succession of old calendar) to the monastery of Saint Michel Var.

On 1 September 2000 he was consecrated bishop by the Patriarch Boris 1 (see Apostolic Succession and coronation of the certificate) and Bishop:
Bishop Paul Michel and bishops of the same patriarchy.

In March 2003 he was accepted by the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Exile in the United States represented in France by Metropolitan Kallistos (Succession old calendar Greek Church and UAOC). see certificate below.
The Estate of the UAOC was recognized by Patriarch Nicolas VI of Alexandria (see letter of Patriarch stating this.)
He was appointed Archbishop of Paris and the Metropolitan Co Adjuteur.

In 2005 he was accepted into the Synod of Metropolitan Moses returned to Ukraine and which becomes the Patriarch Moses.
With all the Western bishops he left in 2007 the Synod of Patriarch Moses pluseurs different because of the conduct of the Church and joined the (AOCC the United States). It gets autonomy and therefore several bishops joined the parties in addition to those with him the Patriarchate of UAOC.C
In 2010 the synod decreed independence.

In 2011 the synod gathering 27 bishops representing the missions without bishops decided that the Church becomes autocephalous.
He was elected Patriarch unanimously voting and enthroned October 9, 2011 in the Pontifical Divine Liturgy celebrated by all bishops, under the name: Nicolas 1st.
